6th Year Scoil Mhuire agus Ide Art Class reach 'Fresh Film Final'

SMI 6th year art class have made school history by becoming the first class to reach the final of the 'Fresh Film Festival'. The competition is the biggest film competition in the country and SMI beat off hundreds of entries to get to the final stage. Their piece 'A Beautiful Mess' is a three minute animation taken from live stills. Each still was painstakingly hand drawn and then shaded by the class. All 300 still were created by just 21 students over the course of one week. It was then reedited digitally where they added some effects. The final takes place this week. Best of luck to Mr. O'Sullivan (Art teacher) and his students!
