School Self Evaluation (SSE)

What is School Self Evaluation?

School Self-Evaluation (SSE) is a collaborative and reflective process through which schools review and improve the quality of teaching, learning, and student outcomes. It involves gathering information from a variety of sources, including students, parents, teachers, and school data, to identify strengths and areas for development. The findings are used to set clear improvement targets and create action plans to achieve them. These plans are then implemented, monitored, and regularly reviewed to ensure continuous improvement and the best possible educational experience for all students.

Six Step Process

The ultimate purpose of SSE is to improve the quality of learning and teaching in our school. It is a six step process:

Our school has identified the following areas of focus for our SSE process:

  1. Retrieval Practice
  2. Wellbeing
  3. Teaching and Learning
  4. Digital Technology
  5. Attendance

For each focus, there is a committee working behind the scenes on completing each of the six steps of the SSE process.
