On Wednesday SMI's u16.5 hurlers travelled to Millstreet to play St. Brogan's College, Bandon in the first round of the Munster Championship where they faced tough weather conditions. They were up at half time and played against a strong wind in the second half.

After a tough game of hurling they came out the victors at 2-10 to 2-20.
